Squadron Prints Lithograph No SP273 - His Majesty The King's Coronation Flypast, London, 15, May 2024, Memorial Formation.

On Saturday 15 June 2024, His Majesty The King’s Birthday Flypast took place over London.  Somewhat different to what had originally been planned due to the tragic events on 25 May when Spitfire LFIXe MK356 of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight crashed shortly after take-off from RAF Coningsby resulting in the passing of Squadron Leader Mark Long. 

“Schlongy”, as he was affectionately known, had a smile that would melt any heart and was a popular and professional pilot of great standing within the Royal Air Force. He had many friends and would do anything to help anyone. He was the perfect impression of a pilot – he was Born to Fly, a true inspiration to colleagues, friends and family alike and will be sorely missed.

Due to the pausing of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s flying operations, its place in the flypast was taken up by three additional Typhoons from 29 Squadron based at RAF Coningsby. The lead Typhoon, the 2024 Typhoon Display aircraft, was flown by Royal Auxiliary Air Force pilot, Squadron Leader Andy “Milli” Millikin, MBE, who was performing his very last Typhoon flight. It was hugely poignant that he was also former Commanding Officer of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

The King’s Birthday Flypast print was produced for the pilots’ briefing which took place prior to the event. Much like a jigsaw, the planning of such a prestigious flypast relies on every piece falling in to place, with the team working together like a Band of Brothers.

Last Shipping Dates for Christmas

For our standard £3.95 shipping service the last shipping date prior to Christmas is Friday 20th December before 2pm. All orders received prior to this time will be dispatched by 20/12/2024 on a Royal Mail tracked 48hr service and should be received in time for Christmas.

Our premium next day £6.95 delivery service is delivered by DHL. The last shipping date prior to Christmas for our Next Day service is 23rd December before 2pm. All orders received prior to this time will be dispatched by 23/12/2024 via DHL Next Day and should be received in time for Christmas.

Any orders received after 2pm on 20/12/2024 using our £3.95 standard shipping, we cannot guarantee they will arrive prior to Christmas. We send these parcels out using a Royal Mail 48hour tracked service and the last dispatch date is the 20th December 2024. Therefore any orders received after this time will be dispatched on or after the 23/12/2024 and as per Royal Mail’s Christmas shipping deadlines, which can be found here Get ready for Christmas 2024 │ Royal Mail Group Ltd Christmas delivery is not possible.

After 2pm on the 23/12/24 we will be switching off our Next Day delivery service and it will not be available. This is due to our HQ being closed and our staff taking a well-earned break from the 24th December 2024 – 2nd January 2025.

All next day deliveries placed prior to 2pm on the 23rd December will be dispatched on the 23rd December via a next day service, after that Next Day delivery is not available.

Christmas Shutdown

Our staff are taking a well-earned break.

We will be closed from 2pm on Tuesday 24th December 2024 and reopen at 9am on Thursday 2nd January 2025. 

Orders received AFTER 2pm on the 24th December will be picked, packed and shipped on the 6th January 2025.

• If an incorrect or incomplete shipping address is provided during the checkout process, we will make every effort to rectify the situation. However, once a parcel has been dispatched, it is now out of our control, and we can no longer change the delivery address. As we are a charity, we are unable to cover the costs of incorrectly shipped items.
• If your parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address, we will refund the cost of the item/s minus the shipping fees. You will then need to place a new order to the correct address if you have not already done so.

Refunds

Due to us being a charitable foundation and the rising costs of shipping we are unable to offer free returns. All returns using our Royal Mail returns portal will be charged at £3.95, which will be deducted from any refund given.

If a refund is required, please return the goods within 30 days of receipt.  
Please safely package your parcel and include your original paperwork and a note explaining your reason for return. If you have discarded the paperwork, we at the very least need a piece of paper that identifies who you are, an order number (you can find this on your email confirmation).

Need to return an item to us but don’t have a printer?

Do not worry, we have you covered. 

You can choose between the following options - 

• You can still create a tracked returns label online via the returns link above which will give you a QR code to take to your local Royal Mail Customer Service Point (CSP), or Post Office® branch. They’ll scan the QR code and print the label for you, which you can then fix to your parcel and drop off while you’re there.  
• You can create your label online via the link above, then choose "Collect From Me" to have your parcel collected from your home address. The courier will also bring the label with them to attach to your parcel.  

All returns using a print at home label must be taken to your local Royal Mail customer service point or Post Office to process.

All returns are sent using a fully tracked service. The Post Office will provide you with a tracking number once processed, so you can see when we have received your return.

Once we have received your return, we will inspect your item within 14 working days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) from the day it was received back at our warehouse. 

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to the original payment method used when making your purchase. Once we process your credit, the duration of the bank transfer will depend on your card issuer’s policies.  

Damaged Goods

We are sorry to hear your order has arrived to you damaged or with a fault. All our orders are packed and processed to the highest standards. However, if for any reason, you need to return a faulty or damaged product, we will make sure the entire process is as quick and easy as possible for you.  

Please email orders@rafatrad.co.uk explaining to us the damage or fault, with photographs attached if possible. Please also provide us with your full name and order number (this can be found on your paperwork or order confirmation email).  

Once we receive your email we will be able to arrange for the matter to be resolved as quickly and easily as possible. 

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange your item for a different colour or size or another item. Please safely package your original item you wish to return, and include your original paperwork and a note explaining your reason for return (e.g. need a different size). 

If you have discarded the paperwork, we at the very least need a piece of paper that identifies who you are, an order number (you can find this on your email confirmation) and the reason for returning it to us.

Cancelling an order 

You have the right to cancel your order within seven days of receipt, for a full refund. This does not apply to goods personalised or made to your specification.
